Lucky Dip – a showcase of 8 new plays by women

Did you know that only 17% of plays produced in the UK have been written by women?   It’s enough to make Aphra Benn turn in her grave!

Fortunately we have someone fighting our corner.   17Percent is a campaigning and producing company based at the Horsebridge Centre, Whitstable, Kent, which regularly showcases short plays by women.

Sue Blakesley and Nigel Banks in ‘Lost Property’ by Claire Booker

My play ‘Lost Property’ was one of eight selected to be performed last month during a stimulating evening sailing under the banner of SheWrites.  ‘Lost Property’ was produced by 17Percent founder Sam Hall, and directed by Sarah Davies. It  is now available to view on U-tube. Simply click on the link below: Lost Property by Claire Booker.
